Let's Schedule a Meeting
Follow the steps below to find your counselor, complete your paperwork, and schedule your visit!
Step 1: Find Your Person & Schedule
How do I decide who to schedule with?
Counselors are pre-assigned to you based on the first letter of your last name. But not all meetings will require a counselor, there are specific instances when a registrar is helpful as well. Click below to expand scenarios that will help you identify who you should meet with today.
Step 2 - Complete the Counseling Consent Form
Under Utah state law, school counselors must have written parent/guardian permission before providing individual or group counseling services to a student. To allow our counseling team to support your child, please download, sign, and return the consent form below.
Already signed one this year? You only need to complete this form once per school year. If you have already submitted it, you can skip right to Step 3!
Step 3 - Prep For The Meeting
A little preparation helps us make the most of our time together. Find the type of meeting you are having below to see how to get ready:
PCCR (College & Career Readines)
- Students: Think about what classes you enjoy most, what your strengths are, and what careers sound interesting to you.
Invite your parent!
- Parents: Review your students progress and strengths in PowerSchool so we can celebrate their wins, identify natural interests, and set goals.
Academics or a Schedule Change
- Write it down: Jot down your specific questions or the specific classes you are struggling with so you don't forget.
- Download Juniper Ridge student class change procedure
- Bring your device: Have your Chromebook ready so we can look at your current schedule or assignments together.
Social, Emotional, or Personal Support
- Just come as you are: You do not need to prepare anything for this. We are here to listen, help, and support you—not to judge you.
- Be honest: We can support you best when we know what is really going on.
Your privacy is important to us. To learn more about how we protect student records and information, please review our FERPA Rights and Privacy Policy.
